The park has a variety of trails, ranging from beginner-friendly to advanced, so there’s something for everyone. The trails are well-marked and maintained, with bridges and boardwalks to help riders navigate over water and muddy sections. Some of the more advanced trails include technical features such as jumps, drops and rock gardens.
One of the highlights of the park is the “rollercoaster” section, which features a series of steep drops and climbs that provide an exhilarating ride for more experienced riders. There’s also a skills area near the parking lot that includes various obstacles for riders to practice on.
In addition to mountain biking, Town Run Trail Park also offers hiking, trail running and birdwatching opportunities. The park has parking areas as well as restroom facilities and picnic tables.
Southwestway Park
A popular destination for mountain bikers located on the southwest side of Indy. The park offers over 10 miles of multi-use trails that wind through forests and open fields, providing riders of all levels with a fun and challenging experience.
The trails at Southwestway Park range from easy to difficult, with a variety of features to keep things interesting. There are smooth, flowing sections that are perfect for beginners, as well as more technical sections with rocks, roots, and other obstacles for more experienced riders. There are also several steep climbs and descents that provide a good workout.
The park’s trail system is well-marked and maintained, with bridges and boardwalks to help riders navigate over water and muddy sections. There’s also a skills area near the parking lot where riders can practice their moves and get warmed up before hitting the trails.
One of the highlights of Southwestway Park is the XC Trail, which is a 5-mile loop that features some of the park’s most technical terrain. The trail includes several rock gardens, drops and tight turns, making it a fun and challenging ride for experienced riders.
In addition to mountain biking, Southwestway Park also offers hiking, trail running and horseback riding opportunities. There are parking areas as well as restroom facilities and picnic tables.
