White River Flood Resources
Hamilton & Marion Counties
Our thoughts are with the people, businesses, and communities across Northern and Central Indiana affected by the flooding. We are closely following the impacts of this historic flooding along the White River and encourage everyone to continue following guidance from local officials as conditions change.
We’re grateful for the swift response of first responders, volunteers, donors, partners, and communities along the river, and we’ll continue amplifying their updates, connecting people with resources, and letting the community know ways to support recovery of our communities and our White River.
As waters recede, we will continue sharing trusted safety information, resources for those affected, and opportunities to help. Please read below for more information.
General Safety
Please use extreme caution when traveling in or around areas impacted by flooding. Conditions can change quickly, and this list is not comprehensive. Always follow guidance from local emergency officials, park departments and individual attractions, and never enter a closed or flooded area.
- Stay off the river until water levels recede and officials indicate conditions are safe.
- Avoid contact with floodwater. It can contain contaminants such as sewage, fuel, chemicals and debris.
- “Turn Around, Don’t Drown.” Never drive, bicycle or walk around barricades or into flooded roads, trails, or areas.
- Know Before You Go: Before visiting a White Riverway park, trail, attraction, or event, check online for local road closures and review the latest updates from your destination for changing conditions, access restrictions or other safety concerns. Road Closure Information for Hamilton County can be found here.

- SERVE Village in Hamilton County serves as a coordinated volunteer roster for flood recovery in partnership with Noblesville, emergency agencies, and community organizations. Volunteer assignments will include debris removal, mucking out homes, sorting supplies, and distributing meals and water. The form asks whether you have equipment like shop vacs, trailers, generators, sump pumps, dehumidifiers, or power washers — if you do, note it.
