Heroes from the Heartland

Veterans and their families are invited to join the Indiana State Museum as we honor Hoosier veterans who have selflessly served and continue to serve our country. Learn about the state’s military history with a visit to the Heroes from the Heartland display and take a moment to see artifacts from the collection that share important stories. Meet with the museum’s curator of history to ask questions and explore hands-on activities and resources from community partners.
Be sure to stay for the Indianapolis Municipal Band Veteran’s Day Concert starting at 3 p.m.!
As a way to thank service members, the museum is proud to offer active and veteran military free admission, and their immediate family members will receive a $2 discount on each admission pass. Free parking will be available in the White River State Park garage on a first-come, first-served basis for veterans or active military with proof of ID.
