Art on Film: Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World

November 9 @ 1:00 pm 3:30 pm EST

Commemorate Native American and Indigenous Heritage Month with a screening of Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World—an electric look at Native American influence in popular music that dives deep into the Indigenous foundations of rock. Rumble traces the melodies, rhythms, and beats of traditional Native music as they took different forms across the spectrum of 20th-century American rock.

Art on Film is a series of thought-provoking documentaries that dive into the world of art through the lens of cinema. This film series is designed to offer unique learning opportunities and, when possible, relate to an art piece or exhibition in the IMA Galleries.

(2017, dir. Catherine Bainbridge & Alfonso Maiorana, 103 mins, English)
