DESCRIPTION:Gear up for a Spooktacular Night \n\n\n\nAs the sun sets\, the museum will come alive with engaging activities across all three floors\, led by a cast of quirky characters inspired by iconic museum artifacts. As Fred the Mastodon looks on\, visitors can use funky instruments to create spooky sounds and step inside the scream booth to measure their shrieks. Families can watch spooktacular science demonstrations with Connie Fusion then stop by Dr. Rose’s Mad Science Lab to make their own ghostly gak. With a spin of Dunky’s candy wheel\, visitors can win Halloween treats. Children will love using Cricket’s critter catapults to launch plastic insects and see how many they can land on the webs. At Ross the Sloth’s Giggle Graveyard\, guests can use a UV flashlight to illuminate whimsical epitaphs that are sure to tickle a funny bone. \n\n\n\nElsewhere in the museum\, visitors can get as close as they dare to live\, crawling critters and take home a personalized masterpiece painted by maggots! Everyone is encouraged to come in their favorite Halloween outfits and compete for prizes in the costume contest before hitting the dance floor to twist and shout to the sounds of monster music.

DESCRIPTION:Looking to make new friends or try a new activity? Want to improve your balance\, explore a new stretch of Indianapolis\, and connect with fellow paddlers? The Pink Paddle Club brings together she’s + they’s on our waterways! Trade your broom in for a paddle and join us on a downtown river adventure for our Season of the Witch: October Float on Sunday\, October 12 at 3:30 PM. Witchy attire encouraged. \n\n\n\nWe’ll launch from Belmont Beach and paddle downstream for a ~2.5 mile paddle towards White River State Park\, ending at a bonfire along the Urban Wilderness Trail. Shuttle service by Frank’s will return you to Belmont Beach between 6 and 6:30 PM. All skill levels – including first-timers – are welcome! \n\n\n\nCarpooling to Belmont Beach is encouraged – there is limited parking available at the park and additional parking across White River Parkway on Belmont Avenue. Belmont Beach’s official address is 1350 N White River Parkway W Drive\, but Google Maps best knows the site as 2020 N White River Parkway W Drive. For additional information visit https://belmontbeachindy.org/faq/. \n\n\n\nBring-your-own-boat (BYOB) and select the shuttle service option OR rent watercraft from Frank’s Livery. Space is limited to 34 total watercraft for shuttle participation. If you rent a boat from Frank’s\, a paddle\, lifejacket\, and shuttle service is all included. We recommend you pack a waterproof bag or case for your valuables. All Pink Paddle Club participants must wear a life jacket on group floats. \n\n\n\nIn the event of inclement weather or unsafe water levels on 10/12\, a rain date is scheduled for 10/29.
