DESCRIPTION:Your child will be the star of this show! Twinkle\, jingle\, count the stars\, and croon a tune while swinging on the moon. During this session\, singer and guitarist Michelle Marti will be leading songs about the wonders of starlit nights and moonshine. You and your child can tap\, sing\, and jingle along\, with the help of a plethora of percussion instruments and toys in this age appropriate music class for young children accompanied by a parent or caregiver. \n\n\n\nMs. Michelle of ShooBeeLoo Music is a musician\, educator\, and performer. She has been leading children and their parents in music classes since 2007. Born and raised in Australia\, Michelle has traveled the world playing music and learning about a variety of cultures. Through her classes\, “Ms. Michelle” introduces children to a broad spectrum of musical genres and experiences. She teaches music at a number of preschools and community centers throughout Central Indiana.

DESCRIPTION:Begin at Newfields to experience THE LUME Indianapolis featuring Connection featuring the work of over 100 contemporary Indigenous Australian artists. While you explore\, enjoy a complimentary non-alcoholic beverage from Café Ngura. \n\n\n\nThen\, join us at Butler University’s Holcomb Observatory and Planetarium at 5 PM for an exclusive planetarium show hosted by Dr. Aarran Shaw\, Assistant Professor of Physics\, and Tim Shackelford\, Associate Director of the Holcomb Observatory. This guided show will take you on a galactic journey from the art you experienced in THE LUME to images of Australia’s night skies. \n\n\n\nAfter the planetarium show\, there will be an opportunity to view the night sky through Holcomb Observatory’s 38-inch Cassegrain Reflector Telescope\, weather permitting. \n\n\n\n*Please note that there are three separate sets of steps totaling 66 leading up to the telescope viewing area\, as there is no elevator available. For disability-related accommodations\, please visit Event Accommodations. Wheelchair accessibility is provided in the lobby and restroom areas\, as well as for the planetarium. If you require ground-level viewing\, we can arrange for a portable telescope; please contact the Holcomb Observatory in advance to make these arrangements.
