An award-winning artist, Katrina Mitten (Miami Tribe of Oklahoma) has been beading for over 45 years. Using family heirlooms, museum collections and years of practice, Katrina has perfected traditional Great Lakes embroidery style native beadwork. Her work is in the collection of the Miami Tribe, Eiteljorg Museum along with numerous other museums and private collections. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet Katrina and learn about her work from the artist herself!
During this two-hour workshop, Katrina will walk you through the steps to make your own beaded corn earrings. Recommended for ages 10 and up. All supplies are provided. No experience necessary.
