Thank you to everyone who participated in the “Discovery” phase of the White River Vision Plan. With nearly 200 people having attended our last round of public meetings, 2,000 people engaging with our website and asked for regular updates on the planning process, and we have talked to over 600 people in community conversations and at community events you could say we are off to a great start!
The White River Vision Plan consists of three phases: Discover(April 2018 to August 2018), Envision(September 2018 to December 2018) and Action(January 2019 to April 2019). During our “Discovery” phase, we researched the hydrology, ecology, history, connectivity, communities and cultures along the White River.
Now, we are moving ahead with the second phase, Envision. This is where we really need your help! We want you to reflect on all of the feedback you provided us during the “Discover” phase. How can we shape your ideas and concerns into aspirations for the White River? What do you want to see happen with the river? Do you currently visit the river? If not, why? What can we do to make the White River a place you visit and try something new – just like you would if you were visiting another city? You can provide this information to us in a variety of ways!
